Liquor Donuts is a fictional business featured in the WolfCop films, selling (you guessed it) liquor and donuts.
My recipe for these WolfCop Liquor Donuts inspired by the film features maple, chocolate, and bourbon, with a toasted pecan and bacon crumble.
WolfCop is a horror-comedy that’s received critical acclaim for its clever combination of humor, practical effects, and engaging plot. The story centers around Lou Garou, an apathetic police officer struggling with alcoholism. After discovering he is a werewolf, Lou uses his newfound powers to thwart a satanic cult’s evil plan to sacrifice the entire town. Along the way, he must confront his demons while balancing his dual roles as a police officer and a werewolf. With captivating storytelling and well-developed characters, WolfCop is a must-see for fans of horror and comedy.

What You Need
Chocolate Donuts
- 3/4 Cup flour
- 1/2 Cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 1/2 Cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 Cup water
- 1/3 Cup full-fat sour cream
- 3 Tbsp vegetable oil (or melted butter)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Maple Bourbon Chocolate Glaze
- 2 Tbsp salted butter
- 2-3 Tbsp bourbon
- 2 tsp real maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
- ½ Cup confectioners sugar
Toasted Pecan & Bacon Crumble
- ½ C toasted pecans, finely chopped
- ½ C thick-cut bacon, cooked crisp & crumbled
- ½ C toasted pecans, finely chopped
- ½ C thick-cut bacon, cooked crisp & crumbled
What To Do
Preheat your oven to 350F. Lightly spray a regular-sized donut baking pan with cooking spray and set aside until needed.
Whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar in a small bowl. Add in the water, sour cream, oil, and vanilla, and whisk just until combined.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture in thirds—the batter will be thick.
Transfer the batter to a piping bag or ziplock bag with the tip cut off. Pipe the batter into each cavity of the pan, approximately ¾ full.
Bake the donuts for 12-15 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Allow the donuts to cool in the baking pan for 15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to fully cool.
Once cool, drizzle each donut with icing and top with the crumbled topping before enjoying.
