When I think of Easter candy, the first two things that pop into my head are jelly beans and Marshmallow Peeps. Pair these Jelly Bean Martinis and Marshmallow Peep Martinis with my Deviled Egg Jelly Shots, and I can guarantee that it will be the most fun you’ve had on Easter since the last time the Easter Bunny himself paid you a visit!
I understand that a lot of people have a love-hate relationship with Peeps (or, solely a hate-relationship with them), but this Marshmallow Peep Martini should put a smile on their face regardless. Any marshmallow-flavored vodka should work (you may even try substituting vanilla). It’s sort of like a very girly twist on a White Russian!
And jelly beans…is there really any one out there who doesn’t like jelly beans? I didn’t think so. This Jelly Bean Martini tastes just like biting into a chewy red jelly bean. YUM!
Jelly Bean Martini:
- 1 oz. Gummy-flavored Vodka
- .5 oz Three Olives Bubble Vodka
- 1 oz Pineapple Juice* OR Cranberry Juice
- a splash of Sour Apple Schnapps
- a splash of Grenadine
- Lemon-lime soda.
Skewer with assorted jelly beans, for garnish.
Place all ingredients except for lemon-lime soda in a cocktail shaker filled half-way with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Top with lemon-lime soda and garnish with a jelly bean skewer.
*If you use Pineapple Juice and want the martini to stay yellow, omit grenadine.
Marshmallow Peep Martini:
- 2 oz. Half & Half
- 1.5 oz. Marshmallow-flavored Vodka
- .5 oz Torani Chocolate Bianco Syrup (or any other vanilla/white chocolate syrup of your choice)
colored sugar, for rim of glass
Marshmallow Peep, for garnish
Moisten the edge of a chilled martini glass with water (or corn syrup); coat the rim of the glass in colored sugar. Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled half-way with ice. Shake and strain into martini glass. Garnish with a Marshmallow Peep (cut slit in bottom of Peep to stabilize it on the rim of the glass).
